Distinguished Danish organist Bine Bryndorf will present the last of the 2017-18 guest organ recitals on the Cornell Baroque Organ on Friday, April 13th at 8:00pm. The program, “The Buxtehude Circle” includes works by the great Danish-German late 17th-century composer Dieterich Buxtehude, as well as music by his older contemporary Heinrich Scheidemann, his student Nicolaus Bruhns, and his admirer J. S. Bach.
Bine Bryndorf has a major international career as a soloist and is in great demand as a teacher of masterclasses and as a juror at international organ competitions. She is Castle Organist at Frederiksborg Castle in Hillerød Denmark, and she holds the position of Visiting Professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London. She also teaches at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen.
