Steppler is completing a Masters in Organ and related keyboard instruments
at the University of Gothenburg, where she studies the Organ with Hans Fagius
and the Clavichord with Joel Speerstra. Anna began playing the organ on being
awarded the Nicholas Maines Organ Scholarship to St Jude on the Hill, the large
Parish Church of Hampstead Garden Suburb in North London, gaining her ARCO (Associateship
of the Royal College of Organists in the UK) three years later. She holds a
first class degree in Music from Oxford University, where she was Organ Scholar
of Merton College from 2010-13. During her time at Merton, Anna studied the
organ with William Whitehead. In addition to playing for evensong three times a
week in Merton?s 13th Century Chapel, she accompanied the choir in
many concerts and recordings, including the choir?s first live evensong
broadcast for BBC Radio 3 and on tour in various venues around the UK and
abroad.
